Key Responsibilities

Leading
-
Demonstrate a pastor’s heart, passionately shepherding the church and faithfully teaching the infallible Word of God.

Lead with vision and a desire to grow the church according to God’s plans.

Provide spiritual and organizational leadership by guiding the staff and prayerfully shaping the church’s direction.

Carry the bulk of preaching on Sunday mornings, while also equipping and empowering staff to grow in their teaching and preaching roles.

Oversee and support executive staff.
-
Conduct regular evaluations of executive staff.
Board Collaboration
-
Collaborate regularly with the Board, offering updates on the church’s spiritual health, operations, and overall vision.

Work in partnership with the Board to ensure spiritual health and integrity.

Participate in governance and decision-making as outlined in the church bylaws.

Maintain accountability with church leadership structures.

Vision Casting
-
Provide spiritual and directional leadership for the church in alignment with its vision, mission, strategy, and values.

Communicate a compelling vision for the church's future and lead the church in fulfilling it.

Serve as the primary leader for strategic planning and organizational development.
Disciple-Making
-
Model and champion the Small-Circle disciple-making approach within the church.

Equip and mobilize church members to actively engage in relational disciple-making.
-
Foster a culture of spiritual growth by encouraging intentional and accountable disciple-making relationships.
Mission Engagement
-
Support the existing SmallCircle global movement, as well as new short-term and long-term missionary efforts.

Ensure that mission engagement is integrated into the overall discipleship and ministry strategy of the church.

Champion the specific and unique community-based ministry groups of 360 Church to meet the need within our church and our community.
Outreach and Community Engagement

Encourage and model pre-conversion disciple-making (evangelism) with a heart for those who have yet to believe in Christ.

Represent the church in the local community and with other churches or ministry organizations.

Lead the church in a balanced, Future Church mindset (disciple-making inside and outside the church).
Requirements
-
A strong relationship with Jesus and dependence on Him
-
Humility, high personal character, strong spiritual maturity, and excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
-
Model biblical family leadership by nurturing a Christ-centered home environment, demonstrating a healthy marriage, and raising children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord
-
Call to ministry and significant relevant ministry experience (7+ years)
-
Effectively communicate and dynamically preach the Word of God and its relevance to growing people into a deeper relationship with Christ and others
-
Proven ability to lead a ministry staff team
-
Alignment with 360 Church’s statement of faith, culture, mission, vision, and Small-Circle discipleship values.

Ability to create, organize, cast vision, and guide culture
-
Bachelor’s degree required. A Seminary degree is preferred; however, training from an accredited Bible college or a structured discipleship program may be considered in its place, provided it aligns with 360 Church’s Statement of Beliefs.
Location and Benefits
The Lead Pastor will be expected to relocate to Sarasota, Florida. A competitive salary and compensation package are available and based on experience.
