Job Summary
The Development Manager is a key member of the organization’s development and marketing team. This individual will play an important role in planning and executing fundraising events, stewarding donors, developing fundraising strategies, and supporting Senior Leadership as they engage donors in a meaningful way.
The ideal candidate is both administratively proficient and strategically minded, capable of managing details while collaborating with team members to build strong external partnerships. A commitment to the organization’s mission and statement of belief is essential.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Works with senior administration to conceptualize, organize and implement a strategic development program that raises funds for the organization through the solicitation of various constituents.

Collaborates with development staff to ensure donors are adequately and meaningfully recognized/stewarded to enhance their relationship with the organization and increase the likelihood of continued contributions.

Proactively ensures the responsibilities of the development plan by assisting them in establishing and coordinating individualized plans for board members, donors and volunteers.

Strategizes and coordinates events including:

Major Gift Visits

Donor Recognition Events

Stewardship Contacts

Oversees the timely distribution of fundraising reports and evaluates and implements annual outreach strategy.

Commits to continuous learning and growth within fundraising, stewardship and donor engagement.

Supports the growth of fundraising campaigns, volunteer programs and events.

Maintains communication with donors, volunteers and other constituents on a regular basis.

Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of records and Data.

Participates in the planning and implementation of Harvest of Hope, School House Rock, Swing for Kids and other special events

Actively participates in other activities as requested or required.
Education Background
Relevant college degree and/or combination of education and applicable experience (including, but not limited to fundraising, nonprofit, philanthropy, education, or marketing). Relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
