For more than 50 years, Central Alabama Wellness has served the community through a wide array of services, including therapy, psychiatry, case management residential services, and other community-based services. The organization’s services are certified through the Alabama Department of Health.
Position Summary
The Clinical Director oversees the organization's day-to-day clinical activities. This person will have direct oversight of the Central Alabama Wellness clinical team, including program directors, coordinators, and other staff members. The Clinical Director will serve as part of the Central Alabama Wellness leadership team.
Specific Responsibilities
Primary job functions and performance expectations:

Supports compliance with all delivery of services to the fiscal, ethical, and legal standards upheld by the state of Alabama and the core values and mission of Central Alabama Wellness.

Clinical supervision of the Mental Illness, Substance Use, and Intellectual Disabilities Divisions.

Monitors clinical mental illness, substance use, and intellectual disability programs of treatment and referrals.

Conducts review of client files to assure quality of care.

Review of treatment plans.

Coordinates and participates in clinical staffing and case consultations.

Ensures treatment adheres to established policies, procedures, and standards of care.

Provides direct supervision of Division Directors and Coordinators.

Assist Training Director with development of all clinical staff training.

Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director to include:

Promotes and maintains good relationships and communication between departments.

Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.

Provide direct clinical services as needed according to Center guidelines.

Involvement in Consultation and Education activities.

Attendance at Clinical Directors Group.

Attendance at Board of Directors meetings as scheduled/requested.

Collaborate with community partners to improve relationships and involvement with community partners.
Minimum Qualifications
This position requires a master’s degree in social work, or counseling, or psychology along with a minimum of three years post-master’s experience, appropriate current licensure, and managerial experience. Other skills needed:

Knowledge of clinical diagnostic methods and principles, various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling, and abnormal. psychology, as well as alternative or complementary modalities

Program development, data and performance management experience.

Understanding of HIPAA privacy rules.

Excellent interpersonal, oral, written, and communication skills to work with a multidisciplinary team.

Able to build strong teams to meet performance goals.

Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a culturally diverse team efficiently.

Ability to work in a high pressured, fast paced environment.

Ability to problem solve.
Compensation & Benefits
The range for this role is competitive based on experience. Final offers will be contingent on a background check. A retirement contribution plan is offered.
